Journey to Amritsar

We stared off with a general chit-chat & planning a short trip to Amritsar, the Holy city & the heaven for foodies. With my 4 friends, we started the engines on Saturday early morning at 4 am, to start a heavenly journey to Amritsar.

The GT Karnal road treats you with one of the best foods available on Delhi-Amritsar highway. Sukhdev dhaba was the first stop to taste the punjabi feast. Serving South indian, Chinese & Pure Punjabi cuisine, Sukhdev stands with its eyes looking right to the sky.

Moving forward was the Zhilmil dhaba near Karnal lake, serving tasty Tandoori Naan with Daal with Tea. Weather was pleasant, making this trip a mind blowing one.

Reached Amritsar by 3pm in the Evening, checked in the Hotel. Took a bath & went straight to the lord's holy heaven, 'The Golden Temple'.

It was a Divine feeling to stand in front of the Golden doors of the Lord's palace with your heads bowed in front of the mighty lord.

After taking lord blessings, went straight to the Kulwant Singh's Amritsari Kulcha & Lassi outlet. Ahhh.. it was awesomeee....

One must try Gyaan's lassi as well.

Evening time in Amritsar, time to show how Patriot you are. Time to head to the Wagah Border. One can feel the patriotic heat among the citizens of India, shouting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.. 'Vandey Matram'...

After dripping down your energy levels, it's time to move to the 'Beera Chicken House' for a tandoori feast for a nice dinner at the Majitha road. One can try their grilled chicken & Keema naan for a heavenly dinner.

Sunday night, was the time to say goodbye to Amritsar as we head straight to Delhi.
